Merve Morkoç: Art

A series of illustrated portraits, inclusive of an especially designed frame for each illustration. The subjects, presumably deceased as the images have a shrine-like quality about them, pose comfortably whilst maintaining a decapitated head or a knife through the throat. Each of the sitters is pupil-less as their eyes cold and blank white stare into nothingness. Mysterious numbers are granted to each victim, numbers that do not represent a date, but more a code or guide. A peculiar project Merve has manifested, indeed.
